Malagasy who are of age and who have acquired a foreign nationality;

Malagasy, including minors, with foreign nationality and are authorised by the Malagasy government, to give up Malagasy nationality upon their request;

Malagasy who behave as de facto nationals of a foreign country;

Malagasy women who marry a foreigner and who expressly declare that they wish to acquire their husband’s nationality, in accordance with national law in the country of the latter.

N.B.: Two cumulative conditions must therefore be fulfilled in this case: the woman must expressly opt to acquire her husband's nationality. She must also acquire or qualify to acquire her husband’s nationality under the terms of national law in the country of the latter.
